About Harvest Prayer Ministries

“The man who mobilizes the Christian church to pray will make the greatest contribution to world evangelization in history.” Andrew Murray

After many years pastoring in the local church, Dave and Kim Butts felt called into full-time prayer ministry. Harvest Prayer Ministries was founded in 1993 to help local churches become praying churches.

What does this mean in practical terms? We want to see believers and churches become what God has commanded us to be in Scripture: houses of prayer for all nations (Isaiah 56:7, Matthew 21:13, Mark 11:17, Luke 19:46). In order for this to happen, intimacy with God in prayer must become the foundational Spirit-led strategy for kingdom life and activity in and through the church.

When a deep love relationship with the Father is ignited, God’s kingdom purposes can be accomplished through an individual and an entire church community. Harvest Prayer Ministries has highly practical, creative and effective teaching/training to help churches move toward becoming houses of prayer. The end goal of a praying church is to see unity and revival in churches, spiritual awakening in our communities and nation, and the task of world evangelization accomplished.
